Pokemon Special: The Strongest Trainer This is a one-on-one pokemon RP! No icons are needed, but if you feel the need to use one, feel free! All that is required is a reference image. In the world of pokemon, thousands of young people set out on journeys to become Pokemon masters. Few succeed, and fewer leave their mark on the world. And yet, they try, and their dreams are no different or less than that of this boy here...
Micha was not like many other trainers. For starters, he wasn't one, nor did he possess any kind of skill when it came to battles. He was incredibly lazy, and rather than go out and try to find a solution to his problems, he lay face down in his bed, motionless, wallowing in his sadness. The fact of the matter was, Micha was currently living in the Orre region. He'd been born in Johto, but moved to Sinnoh when he was but a child, and just as he thought he was ready to become a trainer, his mother uprooted him once more to move for work. What was worse was that Orre was incredibly hot compared to Snowpoint city, and the climate had put a damper on his spirits. "There's no way I'm going to be able to do this, he groaned as he rolled over, and let half of his body hand over the bed. His only pokemon, an aipom, watched from the nightstand, and tilted it's head. He'd been Micha's pokemon for many years now, but was very under-leveled as micha rarely battled. It hopped to the floor, and tried his best to comfort his friend.
Orre was not the most interesting or noteworthy region, in fact it had only just gotten a pokemon league recently. The forest had spread greatly, but the large mountain and desert region was still a big part of the country, and only a few new towns and cities had popped up. But who new? Perhaps a new person would come along. After all, this was the town where new trainers could choose a starting pokemon, as well as receive a pokedex.

"They say the land has changed a lot, but I just don't see it." If Isolde had been born and raised in Orre instead of making a pit stop there for who know how long, then she would have remembered how Orre was really nothing but a giant wasteland of space for miles and miles with a few random towns spread out around. Although, it still looked like a wasteland to her. It was a new region nonetheless. Maybe she would finally find what she was searching for.
Retired from her old days of being a gym leader, Isolde had been traveling regions for 4 years. She looked a little young for her age though and always got the 'you shouldn't be traveling alone' when she ran into some trainers and some of her elders. It was something she had just gotten used to. People could travel with her but it would be short lived which was just fine with her. Isolde had her eyes set on exploring everywhere she could and it seemed like she had explored many regions. Hailing from Hoenn, she had been everywhere around there and to Johto and Sinnoh and just traveled and wandered, occasionally asking for wandering shoes as a joke. She actually was very bad at directions and had gotten herself lost in trying to travel to Unova before she made a trip to Kanto for the first time.
She occasionally looked to her Scizor who walked at her side and whistled along the way. Soon she stopped and looked around, "um, I think we went in a circle again, buddy." Isolde said with a heavy sigh and aggravation. "This is gonna get old fast." Isolde needed to really find directions but it was nothing but trees, trees, dirt, and more trees for a long time. Sighing and making her irritation know, she moved down a dirt road path hoping to find a house where she could find some directions. Just like clockwork, she located one out of the corner of her eye, tucked away. Scizor almost tripped her trying to get her attention to go toward the house. He even had the courteousness to knock on the door for her.
"Show off." Isolde mumbled hoping that whoever lived here was home.

The knock at the door caused Micha to slump the rest of his body out of bed, lay on the floor for a moment, before rolling over and standing. He began to head downstairs to answer the call. His mom was at work, she would be for some time, and the days usually went by without much going on, so he was a little curious to see who would be knocking at his door at a time like this. "Can't they see i'm WALLOWING?" Micha muttered to himself as his little Aipom followed along. The pokemon bounced up and onto the boy's shoulder before resting on the trainer's head, just as Micha opened the door. His bland and bored expression changed to one of shock and fear as he tensed up once he caught sight of the older woman and her Scizor. "WAAAAAAAAAAAAHH! W-W-WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING HEEERE!? EEEEEEEEP!" Micha began to quickly run backwards, despite his Aipom having leapt from his shoulder and standing defensively. "L-L-Look I dunno what you want but we don't have anything of value honest honest! PLEASE DONT HURT ME!"

Just as she was about to knock again, Isolde saw the door to reveal a short blonde haired teen. A smile rose on her face as she looked to him. As she was about to open her mouth, he flailed about, terrified, actually causing her to stumble a bit. "What in the world!?" She asked more to herself in a shocked manner.
A little Aipom tried to stand up in what seemed an offensive position or in one to protect the male.
Furrowing her eyebrow and not entirely sure how to react, Isolde just blurted out, "Is that ANY WAY to treat a lady!? What's your PROBLEM!?" Granted her expression probably wasn't going to help the situation.

((Ahaha, sorry, I quick replied because I was pressed for time. I'll keep replying like this from now on if you dont mind.))
"Y-you...aren't going to rob us?" Micha asked slowly. "Huh. That's weird. Everyone knows Scizor are used by villainous people...Well, uh, I guess if you aren't going to hurt us you must be...A challenger!?" Just as quickly as he'd leapt backwards, Micha jumped back to his original position, his eyes wide and sparkling. The aipom once again rested on the boy's head, and equally overjoyed expression on it's face. "Oh, finally! I just knew someone here would recognize my potential!" Micha began excitedly shaking hands with the stranger. "I'm Micha, and this little guy is Aibo. We happen to be expert battlers. Right pal?" Aibo gave a chirp on confirmation, and Micha grinned brightly. "Well, lets go then! Where do you want to battle?"

Well, this kid didn't waste any time. What was going on in his head? Did his parents leave him alone in the house? This behavior didn't make sense for greeting strangers. Who battled strangers? Well, wait, ex nay on that, who battled without even an introduction? Isolde put her hand over her face and shook her head. This was becoming ridiculous.
"Kid, look..." Her voice trailed off when she saw the excitement in him swell up. Her Scizor was already looking pumped for battle, something she didn't care for right now. She was lost and all she wanted was a map to go on her merry way to go explore some caves.
Hands thrown to her side, Isolde gave in thinking this might be fast and quick. "Sure I'll battle you if you have a map."

"Alright!" Micha dashed to the front yard, slamming the door closed behind him. He dashed a little ways ahead, and Aibo took a battle stance almost instantly. "Ok, lets see, Scizor is a bug and steel type pokemon," he began to mutter to himself as an extremely focused expression suddenly appeared on his face. "So long as it's holding a metal coat and is traded, Scyther can evolve into Scizor at any level, but evolving it right away would be a waste since scyther have better speed, and it would make sense to train it as such for a while, otherwise you'll have a useless scizor...granted, Scizor have better defense, so this could be a stalling type pokemon. I guess I'll have to see what kind of moves it has in it's arsenal before I make that call."
It occurred to him that Aibo, being a normal type, probably wouldn't do much damage as the steel typing would act as a buffer. Steel was resistant to normal, right? Gah, how he wished Aibo had been specially bred. Ah well.
"Start off with a scratch attack, buddy!" He commanded, his calm, cool, focused and professional expression becoming replaced with a confident and almost naive one. The little aipom charged forward hurriedly, claws at the ready. In the blink of an eye, the pokemon had swiped at Scizor's chest, and darted away quickly. Aibo might not be the strongest (he was only level fifteen) but what he lacked in any other stat, he made up for in speed.

Isolde was quite surprised at how this kid was muttering away all this information. Maybe talking about it out loud helped him some. Either way it was stuff that she already knew about her Scizor. As for the evolving part, well, that involved an accident of sorts happening with a friend she was trading to help out. Although she couldn't make out too much of what he was saying because of the distance between them in trying to make out a battlefield in the forest.
"It's not nice to go before a lady," she taunted cooly and coldly, wishing she could really just have her map and go.
In a moment's notice, the Aipom had dashed at the Scizor and scratched across its chest, luckily, Scizor wasn't too weak considering she had been using him as he Pokemon for at least 10 years and had gotten him to a fairly decent level of 42 as a gym leader. Granted, she hadn't been using him much for battle recently as they had been traveling and she had some other Pokemon she had been trying to level with her. They both had been slacking some, which caused Scizor to stumble a little.
"He's pretty speedy," Isolde remarked with a small smirk as the Aipom had quickly dashed away. "Alright, Duo, your turn, go after it with fury cutter." Quickly moving into stance, Scizor rushed at Aipom, slashing at him with his claws.

Naturally, the aipom went down with one hit. As quick as he was, such a low level would automatically be outsped by most pokemon. Aibo fell to the ground, unconscious, and this took a moment to register with Micha. "...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! AIBO!" He ashed over quickly to the fallen pokemon, and cradled it against him. "Are you ok...?" Slowly, the pokemon began to regain consciousness and gave a weak smile. Giving his own comforting smile, Micha quickly became excited. "Did you /see/ that, Aibo!? You actually hit it first! AND IT STUMBLED! That was great! You did a good job, pal."
Micha carefully placed the Aipom on his shoulder, where it clung, exhausted. They'd visit the pokemon center later, right now, he had to give this girl her map. "Well, you did really good! I'll get the map from inside." Micha headed over to the door, and turned the knob, but to his surprise, he found the door locked. 'uh oh' He thought to himself as he began to shake the doorknob violently. "Er...ahahahaa...." Micha laughed nervously as he looked over his shoulder. "It's...um...locked...ehehehe..." He swallowed nervously before facing the girl again. "uh, don't worry! My mom works at the lab! She has the spare key, we'll just borrow it from her! Or, well, I guess we could get you a map from there, too...a-anyways, lets head on over, it'll be quick I promise!"
With that, Micha began to lead the way to the lab. It wasn't that far, just a few minutes away, but it still left an odd silence hanging in the air.

"Did you really just do what I think you did?" Isolde asked under her breathe with her eyes slanted at him. Did he really just lock them both out? What a day this was turning out to be. Without much else, Isolde had no choice but to follow the kid. How could he do that? It seemed like a really scatterbrained idea. Who would lock themselves out of their own house? So many questions went through her head wondering how. But instead of raking her brain, she followed behind him, letting him lead the way.
Her Scizor followed too kinda confused at what was going on, but knew from the look on Isolde's face that it wasn't making her happy.
Isolde walked with her arms crossed and looked at the little worn out Aipom. "Don't you have anything for the little guy?" She figured Scizor would hold back, but still the poor Pokemon did look worn out. Maybe a Pokemon Center was in the lab. "At least something to hold him off til we get to some place that can."
